The bitcoin has just hit a new record. On September 17th, it was recorded the highest level of all times of bitcoin wallets that holds a minimum of 10 BTC, equivalent to US$100,000 (at the time). The information was disclosed in different sources.

One of these sources was BitInfoCharts’ Bitcoin rich list. According to the index, 157,210 wallets were recorded in the date, which contained between 10 and 1 million BTC. Yet, in the beginning of September, the State of the Network report from Coin Metrics processed the latest bitcoin data and made a historical comparison. The study identified that at the time of the research, there was a record of mega-holders in the network.

The Bitcoin Rich List also reveals that the holdings of the group with 10-100 BTC are divided between 140,940 unique addresses. Thus, this group holds more than US$ 46.1 billion.

On the other hand, the addresses that have between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC each reach 1,942. The total value of their holdings is greater than US$ 48.2 billion.

However the real list of the richest is quite select. Only four addresses have between 100,000 and 1 million of BTC. This total amount reaches US$ 5.35 billion.

Notably, the four main addresses of BitInfoCharts are centralized exchanges-wallets  addresses. This means that each reflects assets held in custody for tens of thousands of individual users.

As the Cointelegraph reported, the fifth position of the list is occupied by a wallet that received a mysterious BTC 94k transaction. The fact occurred in early September.

In a chart dedicated to the part of the exclusive wallets addresses analyzed only in terms of the value of the fiduciary currency, data from BitInfoCharts indicate that there are 2,118 wallets with amounts surpassing US$ 10 million each and 17,273 addresses with assets of US$ 1 million or more.
