A delegation of about 15 Brazilian fintechs, some related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain, will participate  between  June 19 to 21 in a three days programming organized by the Swiss Business Hub Brazil, in partnership with the General Consulate of Switzerland in São Paulo. They will learn about the local business environment, besides opportunities and benefits of getting established in the country. In addition, they will have contact with crypto friendly banks, businesses accelerators, and regulators. Insurtech 88, Sppyns and Zarpay have already confirmed to be joining the group. 

The schedule of the visit is quite busy. On the first day the companies will participate in a workshop of investments promoted by Swiss Business Hub. The entity is responsible for the implementation of export strategies of Switzerland in Brazil and by the promotion of Switzerland as a business location. In this workshop companies will make presentations on their business. In addition, representatives of Swiss cantons will talk about incentives to Brazilian entrepreneurs.

On this same day, the companies will attend the presentations of crypto friendly banks and fintech associations. It will be a kind of immersion on crypto and blockchain promoted by Swiss FinteCH – Swiss Association of finance and technology. Afterwards,  PwC will also make a presentation on businesses in the country.

The second day foresees visits to two accelerators companies – F10 and Blockchain Propulsion. In addition, the Swiss financial regulator Finma – will make a presentation on the new license of fintechs. With regards to the business environment for international companies, law firms will show how the process works to open a local company. Additionally, they should also cover topics such as taxes and hiring of local labor.

Brazilian Fintechs delegation in Switzerland will understand Transfero case

The third day of the meetings also has an intense schedule. In addition to a meeting with representatives of KPMG in Zurich, the companies will visit the CVLabs, in Zug, a crypto business accelerator and blockchain. Later on, Transfero Swiss AG will make a presentation on its case – an asset crypto founded by Brazilian partners which has settled in Switzerland. In the afternoon, it is scheduled a meeting with the Association of Swiss Innovation Partner – an association that assists companies wishing to settle in the country.

Crypto scheduled program in Switzerland does not end there. In the following week of the visit, June 26 to 24, it will be held in Zug the 2nd Edition of the Crypto Valley Conference on Blockchain Technology. Although it is not part of the Consulate programming, some of the participating companies have already confirmed that will be present for the event.
