The Crypto Valley Association and Lucern University are promoting the 2019 edition of the Crypto Valley Conference next week in Zug, Switzerland. This is the second edition of the event, which will take place from June 24 to 26, and will feature more than 100 presentations from global crypto industry leaders.

The presentations will cover the topics of technology, economy & finance and regulation. The audience will be composed of the most varied sectors of the crypto ecosystem. Among them, fintechs, startups, representatives of the government and the academy. In total, 1,200 people are expected during the three-day event. The event will also feature an exhibition area where companies can demonstrate their products and services.

Speakers include the participation of Emmanuelle Ganne of the World Trade Organization and Thomas Moser of the Swiss National Bank. In addition to them, EU Commissioner Harald Stieber and Jan Camenisch, head of Research at Dfinity are confirmed speakers.

Companies and technical work

The crypto companies are also well represented at the event. Confirmed participants include representatives from Binance, Stellar, EOS and CVVC. Other technology companies, not necessarily crypto, such as Microsoft and IBM will also attend.

Technical work from industry and academy members should be presented at the event. The goal is to bridge the gap between academics, technologists, policymakers, and regulators in the new field of distributed and peer-to-peer systems. Therefore, issues of practical importance from an economic, financial and business perspective may be discussed by all such representatives.

The event will be attended by representatives of a delegation of Brazilian fintechs who have been in Switzerland for a three-day schedule with visits to company accelerators, company talks and local offices, as well as presentations by government representatives. The visit took place this week and some of the people took advantage of the trip to stay in Switzerland.
