The altcoin Ether (ETH) price set a new record high on Friday afternoon (29). According to data from CoinMarketCap, the cryptoasset approached US$ 4,500 for the first time on the market via the ETH/USD pair.

Also known as All-Time High (ATH), the crypto market is experiencing a wave of renewed price peaks. Fuelled by bitcoin (BTC), which has already hit US$ 67,000, other cryptoassets have followed the bullish track.

This is the case with Ether (ETH), a cryptoasset that belongs to the famous Ethereum network. With an appreciation of over 5% in the last 24 hours, the price of ETH has soared to US$ 4,455.74.

Signaling a break of the last record price, last week ETH’s price had broken through the US$ 4,300 level for the first time in five months, approaching its previous all-time high.

Before the new high reached on Friday (29), Ethereum’s record was US$ 4,379, recorded in early May 2021. In addition to accumulating more than 5% appreciation on the day, the price of ETH rose 11.19% in the market over the last week.

New Ethereum record in Real

While renewing its ATH on the market by the trading pair ETH/USD on October 29, the cryptoasset Ether hit its price record in reais through the ETH/BRL pair. 

Driven by the U.S. dollar soar, which is currently being quoted at R$ 5,64, Ether’s price renewed its record high in the Brazilian crypto market, following the upward trend of the altcoin dollar price.

Through the ETH/BRL pair, the price of Ethereum has risen more than 8% in the last 24 hours and reached R$ 25,153.07 on Friday, October 29. In the weekly, ETH’s share price in Reais accumulated an appreciation of almost 9%, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
