The Solana Foundation will provide up to US$ 1 million for the best projects at the Solana Season hackathon. The developers’ event will be held from May 15 to June 7, and the event registration is already open. In a simultaneous action in partnership with BRZ, the Brazilian cryptocurrency, the foundation will distribute US$ 25,000.00 in Brazil for the best projects. The winners will also be able to have additional seed funding.

Besides BRZ, the competition also has the support of the following partners in Brazil: Bitpreço, Foxbit, Alter, NOX Bitcoin, BitcoinToYou, PagCripto, Parsiq, and Binance. In addition to Brazil, the event will have editions in China, India and Eastern Europe.

The online event will have DeFi, Web3, and NFT trails, and each will have first, second and third place prizes of US$ 20,000, US$ 10,000, and US$ 5,000 in USDC-SPL, respectively.

Individual projects will also have the chance to compete for additional prizes with the support of MultiCoin Capital, DSRV, Nonce, Raydium, and Serum. There will be chosen a major champion who will win US$ 30,000 in USDC-SPL.

Hackathon Solana Season will have experts as judges

Experts in their professional fields will evaluate projects without regard to legal feasibility. Participants will be required to create software exclusively for evaluation purposes. After the competition is over, interested parties will be able to compete to fund the projects.

Over the next few weeks, Solana will hold online events on its YouTube channel to clarify information about the competition.
