Celebrity couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen bought a shareholding interest in FTX exchange. The couple will act as the brand ambassador, with Brazilian Gisele as a kind of advisor on ESG issues, FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried said on his Twitter account. It is worth remembering that all investments in reais made in FTX are made through the Brazilian cryptocurrency BRZ.

FTX, having Bankman-Fried, 29 years, as the company’s head, is one of the world’s largest exchanges, just two years after its launch. The brand is making several forays into the sports world, having recently closed MLB’s master sponsorship, the U.S. baseball league, and the naming rights of the NBA team’s Miami Heat stadium, which is now called FTX Arena.

According to the news release from Bloomberg, Brady has defended cryptocurrencies and even influenced the price with his posts. On Monday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback tweeted again to ask if anyone had any ideas after the laser eyes – adopted by bitcoin enthusiasts – “didn’t work”, a reference to the cryptocurrency’s price fall in May.

During a conference earlier this year, Brady also stated that he and his Tampa Bay Bucaneers teammates have been talking about cryptocurrencies daily.
